Artificial intelligence has captured the business world’s imagination. That leaves marketers, entrepreneurs and executives wondering how AI technologies can make or break their businesses. Who better to answer their questions than the best minds in the field?

Below, we’ve organized 10 top artificial intelligence events featuring experts from companies like Google, IBM, Microsoft, Amazon and Facebook. Each event covers one or more AI topics, including machine learning, deep learning, neural networks, natural language processing and natural language generation. These gatherings provide golden opportunities to learn from and network with like-minded professionals and the field’s top practitioners.

1. The Data Science Conference

April 20-21, 2017

Data science powers artificial intelligence applications. This conference, which covers general data science topics and AI-specific ones, will give you an opportunity to talk shop with hundreds of people who live and breathe data. 2. dotAI

Paris, France
April 25, 2017


Billed as the artificial intelligence conference for developers, dotAI explores “everything there is to know about building intelligent applications in 2017.” If you’re in the area, this is an affordable one-day event for anyone interested in creating their own AI tools and products. Speakers haven’t yet been announced, but you can register here.

3. The AI Summit: London

London, England
May 9-10, 2017


Supported by leading AI companies like IBM Watson, Amazon and Microsoft, this event focuses on the practical implications and applications of AI for enterprise organizations. With over 1,000 attendees, conference goers can expect to hear insights from top minds in the industry and come away with actionable ideas about how their organization can leverage AI. 4. Applied Artificial Intelligence Conference

San Francisco, CA
May 11, 2017

Billed as a "must-attend event for people who are working, researching, building and investing" in AI, this event features a lineup of speakers from Salesforce, Intuit and OpenAI. Attendees include leaders in artificial intelligence like IBM, Uber, Tesla and Facebook. Register here. 

5. O’Reilly Artificial Intelligence Conference

This conference was created by business publisher O’Reilly to address the “growing—and urgent—need for information on applied AI, as opposed to the kind of research presented at academic conferences.” The emphasis is on AI topics that have real-world applications, like how to leverage AI to disrupt your business and avoid being disrupted yourself. Registration opens February 2017.

6. International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence

Melbourne, Australia
August 19-25, 2017


A major event for AI researchers, the International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence has been held since 1969. This year’s event convenes top minds to speak on topics like superintelligence, AI and law, machine learning in healthcare, and natural language processing.

7. IntelliSys 2017

London, UK
September 7-8, 2017

Since 2013, the IntelliSys conference has shown attendees how to apply the latest AI research and developments to their businesses and organizations. Speakers include scientists and industry experts talking about topics like artificial intelligence, machine vision, robotics, ambient intelligence, machine learning and security. Register here.

8. AI World Conference and Expo

San Francisco, CA
September 18-20, 2017

With more than 2,200 attendees in 2016, this event showcases more than 100 speakers and dozens of exhibitors at the forefront of AI. Keynote speakers include executives from IBM Watson, NVIDIA and Google. Registration doesn’t appear open yet, but sign up for the Expo’s email alerts to hear when it does.

9. The AI Summit: San Francisco

September 27-28, 2017

If you can’t make The AI Summit held in London (see above), the event in San Francisco provides another option to meet and learn from top AI minds at companies like Amazon, Google, Facebook, Microsoft and IBM Watson. Registration isn’t yet open, but keep an eye on their website for upcoming details.

10. IBM World of Watson

Las Vegas, NV
October 29-November 2, 2017

IBM's yearly event covers everything new in artificial intelligence, with a particular focus on the company's cognitive computing platform, Watson. As of writing, registration hasn't opened, but keep this link bookmarked for when it does.
