What do you see as the limitations of AI as it exists today?
It can't replace a human completely for content creation and review. AI can be used to make a great assistant that improves your ability to create better, more optimized content faster—but it's not a replacement for real content creators. It's an enabler.
What do you see as the future potential of AI in marketing?
I see AI would increasingly allow marketers to have a competitive edge. With AI, marketers will be able to take more informed, data based decisions. They will be able to create content faster and optimize better. They'll also be able ideate, plan, manage and measure performance of campaigns easier than before and with more confidence. On the whole, AI is revolutionizing how marketing is approached and done. It's going to be impossible to run effective marketing campaigns without using AI support in the near future (if not already!).
Any other thoughts on AI in marketing, or advice for marketers who are just starting with AI?
AI for most marketers will stay in the background with marketing tools and platforms offering these tech solutions through a user friendly interface. I think for most part what's going to be important for marketers will be to choose and implement the right software. They should not shy away from using technology and marketing platforms in favor of manual effort, as that will become a significant competitive disadvantage for them—especially as other marketers adopt them (including their competition).
